We're pleased to welcome Robin Harvey, President of Chagrin Highlands Rotary, as our featured speaker on May 8.  Robin will share the rich legacy of the Chagrin Highlands Rotary Club, highlighting its meaningful service projects, signature events, and the strong sense of community that has defined the group over the years.  Her remarks will offer a closer look at the traditions and impact that have made Chagrin Highlands Rotary such a respected organization.

As our two clubs look ahead, conversations are underway about bringing our groupss together in a thoughtful and collaborative way.  This creates an exciting opportunity to build on each club's strengths and expand our collective reach and impact.

Sway will share the story behind the magazine - why she and her husband took it on, the challenges that come with producing a monthly publication, and what makes the work so meaningful and rewarding.  She'll also offer insight into how the magazine connects and celebrates the Solon community.

Rich Parker, Director of Park & Recreation for the City of Solon will be our featured speaker.

Rich will provide an update on ongoing and upcoming park renovations including key project timelnes and what residents can expect in the months ahead.  His presentation will offer a valuable look at how these improvements are enhancing Solon's parks and recreational spaces for the community

Brook Park Mayor Ed Orcutt will join us to discuss the proposed new stadium project and the exciting economic development opportunities that will follow.  He will also share how these regional developments could impact surrounding communities and regional collaboration

Jessie Daly is the Transition Coordinator for Solon Schools, where she oversees the district’s career-technical and vocational training programs. In this role, Jessie bridges the gap between academics and real-world application, helping students develop the tangible skills necessary to thrive in tomorrow's workforce. Today, she is excited to highlight two opportunities for Solon students: the Solon Business Academy (offered through Excel TECC) and the Career Leadership Academy. Given the Rotary Club's deep commitment to professional development, Jessie is eager to share how local business leaders can connect with and mentor the next generation of talent.

Originally from Youngstown, Jessie recently moved to Solon with her husband, their three-year-old son, Jack, and their dog, Annie. She is thrilled to be serving the Solon community both professionally and personally.

Join us for lunch on Thursday, July 24 at noon at Geraci’s in Woodmere as we welcome Kenny Rybka, retired Bedford Fire Chief and President and Co-Founder of Northern Ohio Public Safety Support.

Kenny will share how this all-volunteer nonprofit provides critical support to firefighters, police officers, and other first responders during extended emergency incidents through a mobile facility offering shelter, food, hydration, and a place to rest. Learn how this innovative organization has become part of emergency response plans across Northeast Ohio and how the community can help ensure this important service remains available when our safety forces need it most.
